Of Mother’s Day Meals..

Yellow coconut milk rice
Mushroom Manchurian
Half eaten Lemon glace cake

A belated Mother’s Day post.
I had some Zoom music lessons and all the little ones appeared 10 to 15 minutes late. When I asked them gruffly why, they all said they had made mom breakfast or had made cupcakes. After that I couldn’t be mean.
My girls over hugged me, and I kept wiping my face as I do not like slobbery kisses.
Then I was shown a video featuring me, with me following their dance moves, me holding a wooden spoon, me in my batik housecoat with my white hair.
I was told that was just going to be on the family chat groups, I have not seen it thus far and I believe it is now floating in cyber space. I now know why I have not been allowed to install Tik Tok or get a Tik Tok account.
Daughter 2 baked a lemon glace cake which I have hidden and am polishing off during my work breaks and as dessert after meals.
Husband announced he would prep dinner and made a fragrant yellow coconut milk rice and something delicious that resembled Mushroom Manchurian. He did say the dish was Roadside Mushroom. How by the side of the road that dish could be during lockdown is beyond me, but the proof is in the tasting.
Lipsmacking deliciousness.
And then I watched Korean dramas on Netflix – so romantic, so cute, and had pleasant dreams!!
That was my day,
Love and blessings to all of you.
And let me reiterate this forgotten unknown “Mother is a verb. It’s something you do. Not just who you are.”
