Of Sleep Inducing Lunches..Nasi Lemak

Coconut milk rice with ginger and pandan leaves
Chilli sambal
Carrot radish black pepper
Broccoli chilli flakes
Tvp stroganoff
Peanuts
Ikan bilis look alike/ dried mushroom

Craving for a Malaysian nasi lemak meal.
So ransacked fridge and pantry for ingredients.
No cucumbers.
Compensated by upping the veges.

  1. Coconut milk and daun pandan/screwpine leaves/rampa, ginger rice.
  2. Chilli sambal.
  3. Carrots and radish with crushed black pepper.
  4. Broccoli stir fried with a smattering of roasted chilli flakes.
  5. Soy protein/tvp/textured vegetable protein, meant to turn out as rendang, ended up as stroganoff. Used greek yoghurt instead of sour cream.
  6. Roasted peanuts.
  7. Fried mushrooms/anchovy-look-alike
  8. No cucumbers.
