The much awaited day dawned bright and clear. With the advent of spring, days are slowly but surely getting longer.
Made D2 who was down for a short stint, her favourite vegan nasi lemak.
Then got ready to attend our annual arts programme at a local temple hall.
Got in early to setup stage, hall, ensure mic balancing and other minute details were sorted.
Students trickled in dressed in their cultural best.
Parents, families, friends, well wishers took their seats.
And the concert was a huge success.
Why wouldn’t it be?
The vocal, dance, veena, mridhangam students had practised hard and well, and so they rendered their pieces with confidence. Parents teachers family friends students left the hall beaming with pride, a palpable sense of achievement in the air.
D1 D2 draped lovely sarees, of which I have no shots, as is the norm.
Draped a gorgeous cream, in some lights, grey, others white, beige, with budgie/parrot green, gold borders and pallu, and red white black geometric patterns borders and pallu. A pochampally/ikat/silk. My very first online purchase many years ago when there was no shipping charges 😎
Draping it for the second time only. The blouse had been a tad loose and I’d procrastinated to get it altered. The first time I’d worn it had been for a Saree Speak Online Meet a year ago. Sadly, the blouse fits now.
Husband managed to get two good shots.
