Of Taking Stock, Of Being Grateful..

Have been on a high for the past few days.
Work, Life balance seems good.
Meaning art music passions work life coexist quite comfortably.
However just a day or so ago, couldn’t shake off this weird feeling of wanting to be silent, not so bubbly.
Walked through the corridor of bedrooms and observed the silent emptiness of the rooms, those of the D1’s.
Felt a little sad because of the fact that they have been unwell.
But realising too that me worrying is not going to make them better.
So instead
am calling, ensuring they speak to their healthcare professionals, get themselves sorted, get rest, use allopathy, naturopathy, and
Sending positive thoughts and vibes.
And in so doing,
Am happier calmer.
And hopefully they are too.
Accelerated by a call to my guide best friend, my sister Thayalini CT Nagendran.
Something she said stuck with me – for example when she is with her family, she thinks about her daughter overseas and misses her, feels sad. She then tells herself to be grateful that her daughter is happy and doing so well. So basically to focus on the good however seemingly bad the situation may be.
Tough, but we must try.
It’s so much easier and nicer being happy than unhappy.

Draped a gorgeous light soft cotton silk Kalamkari with a Prussian blue body covered with mango and flower motifs, a border of dancers in a procession continuing onto an intricate pallu of Krishna, Radha, Gopis, on various musical instruments. A post Krishna Janmashtami drape.
Apt for an evening of class and introspection..

The pic in comments is an older photo which showcases the pallu.
