

A Mismatched Combo of a Lunch.
Tried a green pea sweet corn rice dish, with ginger, cummin, screwpine leaves, cooked in coconut milk.
Served up a simple boondhi raita (fried tiny balls of chickpea flour in yoghurt). Added some date, tamarind chutney into the mix for some oomph.
Then, minor fail again. An oft repeated dish and that too over consecutive days. Needed, wanted to use up the quarter cucumber left. Chopped it up with green chillies and doused it with light coconut milk. Added a dash of lemon juice.
Had an unripe mango. Chopped, cooked in water, mashed, tempered with spices for a mango pachadi. A delicious tangy, slightly sweet chutney.
Wanted a complement of a brightly coloured vege so made a beetroot curry.
And finally, a quick fry of onions and okra in chillipowder.
